The guy in front of me turned around and said hi to me (I was wearing my name badge- great networking tip:wear your name badge everywhere and see what happens) and inquired about BNI. I gave him a 60 second overview of BNI (gee- wonder where I learned that). He said he had heard great things about BNI. I asked if he had a business and he said yes- "I'm a landscaper!" We exchanged business cards and I promised to follow up with him later. So I left the department store with $95 worth of stuff I don't need AND a business card of a happening business person to invite to BNI! So you need to be "on" all the time.
