I now realize what I viewed as an excuse or handicap has been my greatest weapon against becoming ambitiously lazy. I am a single mom with big dreams and attainable goals. I can't make it to every networking event but when I do attend one, I have to make it count. As a result, I get after it! When I meet someone new, I follow up with notecards and phone calls. I also place them on my calendar for future follow up. My goal today is to set more business meetings and be prepared to share my outline of how I partner with my client. Two meetings per week! I work for a business networking website, konnects.com, so I know how great the value of networking can be. First thing to do is join some online business networking websites. Once you have done that, set aside 15 minutes everyday to just login and try to make some connections with people.
